Sunray Server for FREESCO

Postby Spook » Thu Aug 25, 2011 10:02 am

Hi,
i wonder whether anyboy knows about a possibility to make a Sunray Server run on FREESCO.
The idea behind this is to connect diskless Sunray client hardware via network to the Sunray server running on the FREESCO server and to use applications running on the server remotely from the clients.
Some documentation about Sunray you may find below this link:
http://www.oracle.com/us/technologies/v ... 065317.pdf

Thanks in advance

Not a chance, sorry. In case you don't know, FREESCO is running on a legacy 2.0 kernel with libc 5.

Hi Dingetje,

thanks for the reply.
I did not realize, that a kernel newer than 2.0 is required to being able to support this software.
What a pitty if this is a no go for such a package.

Thanks again and best regards
