Dmz

Remember this is a 1.44Mb floppy disk router, space is limited.

Search the forum returned no results. But it is necessary to configure FREESCO a piece. To appoint a specific IP address or network inrterfeys as the DMZ.

My attempts, such as ...
Code: Select all
#from /etc/portfw.cfg
tcp,1024,-3127,192.168.20.2     # DMZ part1
tcp,3129,-11999,192.168.20.2    # DMZ part2
tcp,13000,-48711,192.168.20.2   # DMZ part3

... proved futile. Because packets from LAN1 (192,168,1,0) to forward to LAN2 (192168,20,0). Freesco version 0.4.0.

Please do not leave my request ignored.
Freesco v0.4.0, CPU:PentiumMMX-100, RAM:64MB, HDD:1Gb, 3xNE2000ISA.

You will find that there has NEVER been a request that was ignored. However what you are asking is not really possible with FREESCO. But in the example you are showing that has failed does not mean very much because we do not have a clue as to what you are actually trying to do and internal forwarding is already completely seamless unless you have configured your internal networks as "un trusted" and if you if you are really talking about LAN1 as your external interface then you are dealing with an unroutable private IP address and no amount of configuring a DMZ or port forwarding is going to solve that. Which could just be a mis configuration of your modem or it could even be that your ISP is using a private subnet and there is no solution other than to talk with them for a public IP address or to have them add some port forwarding into there system.

If you post in the support section of this forum with a report.txt and a detailed explanation of what it is you are trying to do and the network layout and hardware information then we can probably come up with a solution.
If you are afraid that you might make a mistake. The chances are high that you will never learn anything.
